I am trying to interpret a regular expression and am finding it quite the challenge.

What would it mean if I had string that looked like:

"\\\$s"

Please help.

Maybe a little more information would help.

Are you trying to do a regular expression on the string "\\\$s"? Or is "\\\$s" part of the regular expression you are looking at?

A little more context would help, if you don't mind.

It appears to be the characters \$s - can you post the whole regex so we can see how it's being used?
