Never had this happen before but...

I have a database that when, I enter data and then go to the next form, the data I just entered is gone. I had to create commande buttons to "Refresh" the form data.

Does anyone know why this happens? It was my understanding that Access was "Dynamic" in that once data is entered it is forever there until changed.

I must have overlooked something. Any ideas?

While you're in the roem, pay attention to the status bar on the left hand side. While you're entering or editing a record, there will be a little "pencil" over there. As long as there is a pencil, your record has not been saved. Once the status bar symbol changes to a right pointing triangle, your record has been saved.

There are a few was to save a record.

1. Move to anothe record using the navigation buttons
2. Use the find function
3. Depress Shift + Enter on the keyboard
4. Go to the menu under records and hit Save Record
5. Use the me.refresh method with a command button or event. Tyrone Lumley

Recordset is set to "Dynaset" but I am not sure what all this is. Sorry.
