I have an application that I'm moving from 2000 to 2003. Everything but one form moved over OK. I have one form with 8 tabs on it. 6 of the tabs have subreports. The main form is connected to a query on a product table.

If I open the form by itself, so it just shows the first record, it works fine. But when I open it through the order form - so that it has a field that links the two forms - it will lock up on a refresh - unfortunately every time you click a tab, the form refreshes.

Does 2003 have a problem with nested queries? Or can you think of any reason a refresh would cause the database to crash. Access has to close it, then open it and repair it.

It could be bad data or corrupted object or something that has to be more specific in 2003. Whenever I run into a big problem like this, I create a backup of the form and then start deleting pieces until it quits crashing or whatever thing it seems to be doing wrong.

Remove one subreport at a time. Once it works, try restoring the original (keeping the backup) and deleting the problem to verify it is isolated. At least then you'll have some idea as to the source of the problem. Also I have read that Access 2003 becomes more stable with the Service Packs, so make sure they are installed.
