I have several projects that over the years and with turnover we have lost the source code to some VFP programs. I am researching the use of a decompiler and have found ReFox by Hollogram. Can anyone tell me if this is a good product or if there is a better decompiler out there? Thanks.

Refox is the better known one, as far as I know there is only another one available (UnfoxAll) which the interface is chinese.

Unfoxall also has an english interface.
The best version is Refox MMII which also rebuilds the menu and screenfiles and the projectfiles.

I have tried Refox 8 which could work on old FoxBASE+ up to VFP3 and the results were quite impressive. No doubt their latest version could do better.

I have been using REFOX for years and find it to be exceptional at decompiling.

On occassion when the differences between two modules include a number of comments I often compile and decompile before doing a compare.

Unless the original programmer compiled with switches to prevent decompiling you will find this product to meet your needs.
