This is an example: on page 2 there's a cell with the value of .25 on sheet 2 I format the cell to Percents and now it reads 25%

On page 1 I have a cell with a value = "page 2 cell a1 says" & page2!$a$1

but of course page 1's cell reads "page 2 cell a1 says .25"

and it should say "page 2 cell a1 says 25%"

how can I reformat the reference within the formula? something like the TEXT function???

Any help will help a heap.
Thanks,
Dave

Here is the spreadsheet way. You can also write a VBA Function to do this
Code:
="page 2 cell a1 says "&page2!$a$1*100&"%"
hope this helps :) Skip,

Dave,

The "TEXT" function you referred to would be used like this...

="page 2 cell a1 says "&TEXT(Sheet2!A1,"0%")
