Reference Pivot Table in Formula 4

Good Day all!

I was wondering if anyone knows of an option I can turn off that will allow me to reference cells within a pivot table without creating a formula like the following:

=+GETPIVOTDATA("Sum of Coin In",$A$3,"Denom",0.01)+F5

In the formula above, I hit "=", selected a cell on the pivot table, "+" and referenced F5. This causes problems when I try to copy the formula down beside the pivot table, even when I remove the anchors for A3 as it continues to reference the "0.01" row. I'm stumped and would greatly appreciate any ideas. I'm working in Excel 2003. Thanks to all!

View / Toolbars / Pivot Table

Look for the GetPivotData button and hit it. It toggles the feature on/off.

Ken,

I've been checking constantly for an answer since I posted. This has been driving me crazy since I got upgraded at work recently. The button you mentioned was not on the pivot table tool bar, but I did find it when I went under Customize and I added it to one of my custom tool bars I use. Thanks so much. You saved me time and sanity!

You're welcome - I should have said that you needed to make it visible on that toolbar as it is not shown by default.
