Hello all,

This is my first time in this forum and I need help. My IS manager told me yesterday that I am to become the IIs expert here and I have no experience with it. Our IIs was set up by some one else and there is not much, if any, documentation. Anyone have any suggestions on some reference material that will get me up to speed in a hurry.

There are also plenty of sites and forums (like this one) that will be able to help you out. If you are totally clueless, but a book that has some good quick reference tips (Sam'sNet is a good publisher for this with their 24hour series).

It's not that bad. I had a friend who went from working in a completely unrelated field to IIS admin and he didn't have a clue. Here it is 6 mos later and he's doing just fine. He had a little help tho :-P "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission." - Rear Admiral Dr. Grace Hopper
