Refer to variable cell? 1

Hello:
I need a way to refer to a cell based on the contents of another cell. That is something like this
= (OtherSheet!A|A1| )
This would refer to the cell in column A and row (Value of cell A1 in this sheet).

Can Excel do this?

Use the INDIRECT function.

If A1 has Sheet1!A1 then

=INDIRECT(A1)
