This may be a simple solution but I'm drawing a blank for some reason.

I can't hit my local web page that is hosted in-house on the SBS 2003. The router/cable modem, that Comcast supplies, blocks redundant traffic that tries to leave the office with a destination that routes back into itself.

I get the login page for the router when I try to access the hosted web page.

How do you route the request to stay in-house and never ask Comcast's modem for DNS information?

Have your SBS server point at itself for DNS. And have your clients point at the server for DNS.

If you have a public IP and DNS records that you'd like outside hosts to be able to use to get to your server, host them on an outside DNS server. Don't try and host your external DNS records on your SBS server.

Right now it sounds like you have everything using Comcast's DNS, so your internal hosts are trying to get to your server via the external IP address. If there were pointed at your server for DNS, that wouldn't be happening.

I am hosting my own DNS and the server and all client computers are pointed to it. I guess the problem is that the DNS record is not pointing to the local webpage when it get's a request.

I'm trying to find out how to get my local DNS record to point to the local web page when a request is made.

I thought the wizard took care of all of this, but I guess I was mistaken. I am also having a hell of a time trying to find the right area in Microsoft's DNS manager to do this task.
