Redirecting users to an FTP, based on authentication.

I have a database that contains my users information, usernames, passwords, etc... In that DB I have two fields that are check boxes, I want to send a user to an FTP site based on which of the two check boxes is checked. One FTP for one box, a different FTP for the other. I have tried to do a CFIF to do this and I think I'm just all screwed up. Anyone who can direct me to an example or just post something to help steer me in the right direction would be appreciated.
