We are Windows 2000 AD Native mode. All PCs are Windows 2000 Pro. Users connect to network with roaming profiles and have redirected folders - desktop and programs to a network drive.
The problem is that if we ever have any network problem, even if a quick loss of connectivity - like a cable was wiggled in the switch closet, all users lose their desktop icons and have to logoff and log back on to get them back. A refresh does not work.
How can we set it up so that users will never lose the icons on their desktop in the event they lose network connectivity. We want to keep these desktop icons on the network.
Thanks - Kristi
