I've been asked to block/redirect a web site right away, and I know I can do this with DNS, but I have a few things I need clarified. I am running BIND 8.1.2 on Solaris. Complication is that I am in a large org where DNS zones are transferred between DNS servers at other companies. What I don't want to do is create something that replicates outside my own DNS server/zones. How can I configure so this will behave as desired?

I believe this answers my question:

Sorry for the premature post, I'd been scouring the web all day and had not found anything like this. I just basically wanted to confirm that these zones would not be replicated out, which is what this article says.

Thanks for posting the answer anyway - nothing more frustrating than seeing exactly the problem you're looking to solve and the answer not being there!
