I HAVE 4412D+ PHONES WITH A 406 IP OFFICE. THE PHONE STORES SEVERAL OF THE LAST PHONE NUMBERS I HAVE DIALED. WHEN I PRESS THE REDIAL BUTTON THE LIST OF NUMBERS SHOW UP ON THE DISPLAY. ONLY 2-4 DIGITS OF THE PHONE NUMBERS APPEAR ON THE DISPLAY NOT THE WHOLE NUMBER. WHEN I SELECT ONE OF THE DISPLAYED NUMBERS THE PHONE ONLY DIALS THE DIGITS THAT APPEAR ON THE DISPLAY NOT THE WHOLE PHONE NUMBER. WHICH MEANS I CANNOT USE THE REDIAL FEATURE. HOW CAN I GET ALL THE DIGITS IN THE PHONE NUMBER TO APPEAR WHEN I PRESS THE REDIAL BUTTON.

Are you using POTS lines? Your Dial Delay is set too low, the system is seizing the line and dialing the first few digits and then sending the rest of the DTMF sequence real time on the line itself; therefore the system thinks you are done dialing the number before you actually are. The drawbacks of extending the dial delay are that it will take longer for all calls to complete. Manager/System/Telephony/ adjust the dial delay (Default 4000ms). I typically use 1750 with POTS, but 2750 is generally acceptable, 4000 if your users are really slow dialing.

Also this is mentioned as a bug fixed in the august maint release[3.0(59)]"22158: Redialing external numbers longer then 4 digits long are not displayed or called"...

I have not upgraded either, still going through the long list, but it might be something to try, the dial delay does also sometimes affect that too..

thanks for all the help. I changed the dial delay time to 1400, works great.
