RED X's in Toad

I have a datamart that I've created some tables and views in. Why is it when I go in Toad and view the database red X's appears beside my views. When I recompile the X goes away. Those tables apparently have not changed. What's up with the red X's?

If you are sure nothing has changed in the underlying tables to make them invalid, go into sqlplus and check the status of the views. See if oracle thinks they are invalid or if TOAD is somehow mistakenly reporting them as invalid. That would tell you if you have a toad problem/bug or if toad is reporting their status correctly and oracle really is making them invalid for some reason.
