I recently deleted some large log files from some computers here. Most of them went to the recycle bin and I was able to empty it as usual. On several computers, however, when I try to open or empty the recycle bin, it now just locks up. Some computers would finish after about 15 minutes, but some would not come back without a hard reboot.
These are Win2000. Any ideas how to get rid of the file and get the recycle bin working again? I looked at the MS Knowledge Base and on this forum and found a little information related to deleting the INFO folder and Recycled, etc. through DOS. However, much of it seemed to be catered to NT4 and Win98 and I want to be sure what will work for Win2000.
Also, when running a virus scan on one of the computers, it hung when it reached INFO2 in Recycler somewhere on her computer...I'm assuming it's that same log file I tried to get rid of.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
