Tried to install the Recovery Console as a startup option using the following commands
1.
With Windows running, insert the Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2.
CLick Start and select Run.
3.
Type the following where D: is the CD-ROM drive letter:
D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
4.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
I got a message saying could not install since the software was newer than on the disk.
The souce disk is Xp pro and installation is with SP2
There is no recovery console on the system at present.
Any ideas?
