Hi all,

I was playing around with Group Policies and now i have a problem where the administrator is restricted from doing many tasks like opening the control panel. I would either like to gain access so that the administrator is not affected with any changes, or recover back to the original state for the GPO's any ideas how that can be done, i did not make a backup or a system restore point...

Thanks

Settings you make in the default domain policy will apply to all users in the domain (including administrators). If you want settings to apply to a group of users in the domain, do the following:

1. Create an OU.
2. Move the users to the OU.
3. Create a group policy at the OU level, with the settings you intent to apply.

To restrict a group policy from being applied to a user is by denying the Read And Apply Group Policy permission to that user.

If you don't have a backup of a group policy, you have to manually revert the settings you made.
