Hi, I am trying to restore some old emails from an Exchange 5.5 server. I have a backup Exchange 5.5 server up and running and I have restored my databases. After all was said and done all the Exchange processes are up and running. But, when I go into Exchange Admin there are no recipients and I have no way to get to the mailboxes. Any idea what I am missing?

Thanks!

Turned out to be a bad dir.edb file. I restored a different backup and things got better. Although, now I can't connect outlook to any of the mailboxes. I get a permissions error even after resetting the accounts.

yup.. when restoring the directory store... you always have to make sure that your DSDATA directory is empty BEFORE a restore.. and that you restore an older version of the DS.

;)
