Record too large

I got a record too large error so I tried deleting some data but the record won't save changes and says it's too large. So then I closed the DB, came back in, and deleted some fields and it still says the record is too large. Any way to fix this?

Where exactly did you get this message? Were you trying to enter a record directly into the table when you got this message? Do you have several records in this table? How many fields wide is it? If we know more, maybe we can help.

What kind of field is it? if it is a long string of text in a text field, try changing the field type to 'memo'

I got this message when trying to enter data into a form. There are a lot of fields in this table so there's a lot of data in each record. What happend is I was entering in data and the size of the record grew larger than the maximum 2k size. Now I'm not able to make changes to this record even after deleting a few fields.
