Good Morning Gents and Ladies!!!!

When I use record navigation the page will refresh, instead of continuing through the records (<<Prev Next>>). How do I stop this from happening? I created a page without layers and it works fine. If I have additional layers on the page. When I click the Next >> Link to navigate through the records. It freshes the page an goes back to the Visible layer versus staying on the layer in which I am doing the navigation. I am sure that there's an easy explanation for this, but again the solution has eluded me.

I will guess that your navigation layer is set to be hidden on page load. I would just pass a variable along that you can check on page load and then set the visibility of the correct layer.

Thanks for the code, but I have that part down. My problem, unless I am misunderstanding you. I a have a page with numerous layers. Onload of the page, only one layer is shown. Now, According to what link the user clicks on displays other layer. Let say the user click on the Producer Contact link. Then the Producer Contact layer is displayed. On this layer the user can update or scroll through the Contacts of the Producer. When you click on the record navigation(<<Prev Next>>) to scroll through the contact, it reload the page back to the original Onload layer(Main Layer). I want it to stay on the Producer contact layer and let the user continuely scroll through the records. I hope I made a little more sense. Shawn

I fully understand. If you use the nav=visible bit on your NEXT link then you will be able to decide which layer is visible when the user is navigating your recordset.

Hey Cheech!!! I know you think I am retarded or something. I am not making the connection. You code is some what different than the way I design my page. So I am kind of thrown. I created my links with on Click Show/hide layers. I am not making the correlation. I have included the code below.

The way I saw it this is the only line that was modified.
<p><A HREF="<%=MM_movePrev%>">&lt;&lt;</A>Prev &nbsp;Next<A HREF="<%=MM_moveNext%>">&gt;&gt;</A></p>

It does not error but on navigation(<<prev Next>>). It does the same issue. Reloads the page.

Let me know if this was the only line modified.

I also altered the body tag to check the url parameters and show the correct layers. I just spotted something else in the reload call so try this code

Cheech, thanks for your help. Ok, it will let me navigate from the 1st record to the 2nd record and then it reloads.

It will reload the page but it should now show the correct layer, is this not what you want?
