Hi,
I want to display data of 1 field in a single line.
Assume that a field called empno of a table, has 10 to 15 records
then I want to display 5 records in first row,5 in second
row , 5 in 3rd row. I am working on CR 8.5
100 101 102 103 104
105 106 107 108 109
110 111 112 113 114

Thanks in Advance
Papa

Let's say you have a report right now with one field and it goes straight down the page.

1. Delete that field from the report.
2. Format the Details Section. Select the last checkbox in the list on the right side, "Format With Multiple Columns." You will then get a 3rd tab on the window called Layout.
3. Click on the Layout tab. Choose a width, say 1.5 inches. Further down click on the radio button "Across Then Down" and close the Format Section window.
4. Insert your one field on the detail line inside the box that you now see (that's as wide as the width you entered in #3).
5. Go back to the Format Section / Layout tab if you're getting too many/too few rows and change the width according.

Hi,
Thanks for this info. I will give a try .
