What is the best way in ipoffice to record calls. We can either record on the fly or record them all and sort through them later. I am hoping for the second option. Is there any way to record the whole call and not have it end when they get put on hold (reading docs on using soft console).

I have a small telemarketing firm that has 2 IP softphones and they record 1% of the outgoing calls. We have them going to a dummy mailbox for review. We do have a 2nd internal hard drive just for recordings.

You could also, for 45 days, try contact store. This is very nice for looking through the recordings.

I thought I read in one of these forums that the recording doesnt stop, even if you transfer someone to another mailbox. I dont know why the recording would be stopping when you put them on hold.

According to the ipoffice docs, if you put them on hold or if someone joins a conference call it will stop recording. I just found out we dont have licenses for softconsole, so maybe I will try that other software out and see how it works :)
If there are any other ways to record without softconsole Id love to hear about them.

Thanks !

You can either have the calls automatically recorded. Or manual.

You will have to have a "CallRecord" button on the phone. It is just a toggle button....

All of the above and you can create a "phantom" record box for each user if you wanted them somewhat sorted.
