We are currently training users in Outlook 2000.
We are running 2 classes per day and twice a day
have to clear out mailboxes for the next class.
I have set up a recipient policy to do this via Mailbox Manager.
Policy is set to delete all items from all folders of "Any" age
and "Any" size. However, policy will not delete recurring
appointments or uncompleted tasks, no matter what
combination of age and size I use, including unchecking
both boxes so that "Any" age or size should be deleted.

Any ideas?

If the only accounts on the test server are for testing you can dismount the mailbox store and delete priv.edb and priv.stm and then mount the mailbox store. This will clear out all mailboxes on the server.

If not try Exmerge and choose archive data to target store. This will also delete everything. Dan

There is a priv1.edb and priv1.stm file. Are these the ones you mean? Will deleting them only remove contents and not mailboxes themselves?
This would have to be done twice a day, is there any way to automate?

The Exchange 2000 help files can find nothing about Exmerge, is it a third-party product?

Why will the server archive routines not delete the recurrung appointments if user has asked for "any" items to be removed?

Thanks for your help.

Yes priv1.* is the same.
Yes they only hold content.
You can do some scripting but I don't have the code with me.

Exmerge is on the Exchange 2000 CD. Look under the Tools folder.

I'm not sure I don't use it. Sorry. Dan
