Rebooting a 412 without rebooting 1

Wasn't there a way to change an extension without having to reboot a 412?

Yes you do a "merge

You can't merge an extension ID change in 2.1.35.

Change the extension ID,s and make the stations a Hotdeskuser.
Do a Merge.
Login with the nummers at the right phone,s
Remove the Logincode,s and do a Merge.

But i will still do a reboot sometime and check if everything is on the right place.
Specially if its a big system and you do a lot of changing.

Despite the default "merge config?" prompt in the later releases, I don't believe you can make any extension number changes without a reboot. It may seem okay, but some corruption may take place. Changes to users are different.
