~~~ Here is what I am trying to do ~~~
When an incoming call comes in:
Ring ext 210 & 211 for 3 rings
Then
Ring ext 213,218,219,220,221 for 6 rings
Then
GOTO the Auto Attendant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not such a strange call flow request, so I figured I could handle it, but..................
Problem is, when the first hunt group overflows to the second hunt group, it keeps its timing of 3 rings, so the second hunt group never gets to overflow to the third hunt group that forwards to the AA. Since none of the HG's have VM turned on, the call pulls back to the first HG and rings 210 & 211 again and Loops at infinitum.
Technical:
HG 600 = Collective Call Waiting - No VM - No Queuing - Overflow Mode is Call by call - Overflow time is 15 seconds (3 rings) Members are 210 and 211 Overflow group is 610
HG 610 = Collective Call Waiting - No VM - No Queuing - Overflow Mode is Call by call - Overflow time is 30 seconds (6 rings) Members are 213,218,219,220,221 Overflow group is 620
HG 620 = Sequential - No VM - No Queuing - Single Member of ext 3000 Virtual User
Virtual User 3000 is set to forward unconditionally to a short code *62 which goes to AA1. and yes the Fwd Hunt group box is checked.
No Workie, so I even tried having HG 600 overflow to a HG set to sequential with a single Virtual User that is unconditionally forwarded to a short code *63 that is set to "dial ext" 610 which is my second HG thinking that by Forwarding it would lose the timing from the first HG as it enters the second HG and do what I want from there. I get the same loop result.
Stumped....but I feel like it might be a result of brain cloud from not sleeping for 2 days. I have to be missing something...... The clients request for this type of call flow seems reasonable and I'm sure I will encounter similar requests as I go along. So this is a cry for help from a tired brain.
Could it be that I need VMPro for this? Hope not as client won't buy it!
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
