Hi,

we've got Compaq T30 Thinclients (Wyse) with OS = XP Embedded.
We like to use them with Citrix MF XPa FR2 and Novell.
But we don't want to configure each Thinclient/ ICA-Client manually.

How can we configure all ICA-Clients on the Thinclients at one time?

Thanks

I think the only way you can do that is by using Rapport by Wyse. Compaq terminals are basically Wyse terminals but with "Compaq or HP" on them.

Or you can simply buy the Wyse 1200 LE terminals.(these are awesome!) Fastest ICA device out on the market. No Windows CE so you don't have to pay the license cost. It'll run you about 299 or so but it is specifically designed for ICA. You can manage ALL 1200 centrally by modifing a .ini file. In this .ini file you tell it what Publish applications are out there and configure the background, ICA settings, video settings and much more. All you have to do is, set a couple of options in your DHCP scope and you are ready to go. I love those terminals...you should give them a shot.

Hi enigma,

thanks for the answer.
I was afraid I had to use Rapport. Unfortunately one needs the Enterprise Version of Rapport for that.
I will take a look at the 1200 LE, sounds nice with that ini-file.
But why don't you need a license?
I've talked to Microsoft; they told me, that I would need licenses for embedded systems like Win XP embedded on the T30.

The reason why you don't need a license is because it doesn't come with a "Windows" OS. It's basically Wyse's OS embedded in the terminal.

That's why you don't have to pay the license for Windows Ce or XP because it doesn't run that OS. Kind of like those neoware crap terminals..lol (as you can tell, I don't like them) They run Linux so there is no license fee
