reading a word file into a string

when i try to read a word file using readln and store the input to a string the contents come out as gibberish. How can i read the contents of a word file and store the contents in a string where the info is readable?? anyone plz

"word" file?

Do you mean the Word format. You have to use the Word component, or find a standalone Word component...

Try Google...
