read/write access to windows registry

I want to access information of remote machine i.e.About which software are loaded & how much space available on hard disk,which ports are open etc.
Plz help me because of this my project is stuck.

Also the WMI interface is a really slick way to remotely query a machine,it's registry, and it also let's you launch a process on the remote machine.
