I'm not sure how to put this so rather then search and search I thought I would post my question and see if anyone can direct me where to go.

I have my application that when it receives notification it fires an exe file in a command window as follows

"cmd /c POS 0001 cmdfile1"

This program then outputs its responses and progress to the dos console. Is there a way I can have my program read these console displays..I have tried redirecting to a text file and watching for the length of file to change but its not working...I would much prefer to grab what is being displayed in the console directly...any help or direction is greatly appreciated.
