Due to some corruption on my boot disk I had to do a repair on my Win 2000 OS. Since then when I launch Outlook I am told it needs to be installed from the CD.

Is this correct, and if so can I protect my existing emails and settings if I install it again?

Make a copy of your PST, if you are using one, and re-install Outlook. In case off ... You still have the copy.

I did make a copy of the PST file, then found everything behaved itself after I DL'd and installed SP4 for Win 2000.

I believe that the OS repair put some older files in place that had been updated previously.

Thanks for the suggestion and help.
