Re-establish client trusts after Win2k DC crash

After reconfiguring (reinstalling) my DC I'm getting netlogon errrors in my server system logs that say:

"The computer <computername> tried to connect to the server \\<servername> using the trust relationship established by the <domainname> domain. However, the computer lost the correct security identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfigured. Reestablish the trust relationship."

I know I can fix this by removing the computer (making it a part of a workgroup) from the domain and readding it, but this pretty much destroys all the user profiles on win2k and winxp clients.

What I need is a way to "Reestablish the trust relationship."

Clients can log on, but network sharing is adversely affected.

Go to the trust in domains and trusts click on the trust and select edit.On the edit tab is a verify button use this and it should find and fix the problem for you.

Where is "domains and trusts" located? Is this Active Directory Domains and Trusts? The only thing I see there is the domain, which I can right click and see a place for domain trusts. There is nothing here though.

If there is nothing there then you need to add the trusts in.
You need to add the trusts in at both domains.
If this is not a set up with two domain controllers, and is instead between a client and a server, I cant think of any way to re-establish the trust other than the change back to workgroup.
