Re: Cannot access to Yahoo Inbox on WINxp

Dear All,
I am runnning on WINxp, IE 6.0; Cipher Strength 128-bit.
I got a problem starting from last morning. I just cannot access to one of my Yahoo e-mail INbox. Things look so strange. I've been using it for several months and it always worked. Until last morning, it suddenly became very slow once I click the Login button on Yahoo E-mail. Although I maybe able to login successfully, I am unable to enter any of the mail box, ie. INBOX, outbox,etc..
Things so strange that when I login to my another Yahoo e-mail account. It works!
And what's more strange? When I tried to login the problem Yahoo account on WINME platform, Every problem went away!!
I really don't understand why this particular yahoo e-mail account getting such problem.
Can anyone suggest me how to do? I will really appreciate your expertise!!

P.S. I'm using a broadband connection service, not dial up.

Ok.I am not quite sure if this is the right reply to your question,but I know that Yahoo has stopped its Free pop3 services,that means if you are not paying for your yahoo mail services you can only retrieve messages from its web base account.

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I have never used the pop3 service on Yahoo e-mail. I understand you've mentioned. However, this is not the situation I have.

For some reason, I've always used the Partition Magic to create two operating system on my PC. So, I have one WINME platform, and one WINxp platform.

I still have the problem. On WINME platform, I can enter both Yahoo e-mail a/c smoothly. I can write a new e-mail, send it, etc. Both of the 2 a/c works.

Then, when I switch to the WINxp platform. Strange things happen. Let's say I have 2 Yahoo e-mail a/c: A and B. When I loggin to A a/c. It works as usual. No problems happen.

When I loggin to B a/c. It suddenly makes the Internet Explorer slow (I'm using the IE6 sp1). Even I may not able to loggin this B a/c occasionally. If I am able to loggin, then we supposed to see the e-mail a/c screen. There are some links like Inbox, Outbox, etc.....

If I click the Inbox link, the IE will become very slow and never be able to enter the Inbox. And, if I wait for 20 mins or more, it may enter a page showing that it fails to enter this page and asks me to check my securities or something. PST, SSL TSL, etc....

This B e-mail a/c used to work normally until I updated my WINxp through the net last week. Both loggin ID of Yahoo are not the same as the loggin ID of my WINxp.
Why this would happen? This is very strange. Why would I be able to loggin A a/c but not B a/c?
I live in Hong Kong. There is a Yahoo.com.hk local page but there is no such support way to contact them and ask.
What more can I say???

i;m having the exact same problem.
i formatted my computer 3 times and still my yahoo inbox does not work. I have set up a small home LAN and I am able to access yahoo on that computer. BOth computers have windows xp. I need help! Anyone please!!
