random page every month

Hello all,

I have a diabetes client with about 10 medical tips/information pages they use to give helpful info to the user.

The page is displayed in a popup window when the user clicks the image link. All these pages are in a separate dir.

Heres the problem; the client wants a tip page to be randomly chosen at the beginning of each month - and it will be displayed for the remainder of the month (if they click again within that month), so when a user clicks for a tip, they will see a different one each month. (that way the tips can be edited and changed infrequently without having to re-edit the links on each oage in the site.

Can this be done? - I dont know how.....

I'm not quite sure, but you mite have to set a cookie so the users browser remembers it's got that page to load. But, it can be done in other languages such as php.

Does your server support php?

any other ideas anyone?

All the pages are in htm format and uses java - if it uses cookies then OK but if the user has them turned off.., then OK to that too.

The service provider doesnt deal well with asp or php. Does anyone out there know how to do this?
