I have a PowerMac G5 running OSX 10.3.9, when I woke my machine from sleep, a random network login window was on my desktop. I dont know where it came from or how to get rid of it as it does not respond to clickin on Cancel etc

The only way I could clear it was to restart my Mac!

Does anybody know what this is and how to resolve it ?

Thanks in advance.

I'd first check System Prefrences > Accounts > Login Items to see if anything unusual appears (anything your not using). If not, you may have something on your system that is looking to the network to find (fonts are a usual suspect). If you've copied anything to your machine that came off the network, it will try to refrence it by connecting to the network. Perhaps the creation of an alias instead of actually copying? Try looking for icons with the little arrow in the bottom Left corner.
