Hi all,

I've got a problem with a PC whereby it crashes at random intervals (particularly in IE, although not sure if that's just a coincidence). It'll either throw up a blue screen refering to a problem with a VxD but not specifying which. Or at other times it will throw up a GPF along the lines of EXPLORER caused a GPF in module USER.EXE etc.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Thanks carrr, but that kb article is for windows 3.x.

As for the vxd error, I'll try and re-generate it, but it's quite intermittent. Where the module and/or file related should be it just had ---. Typical helpful "There was an error" message.

Thanks for your help
