RAM testing for corruption

Hello, I'm running an Athlon 1400 on an AMD760 chipset with 512MB of 266DDR ram, I used to get a wide variety of memory related bluescreens under win2k, then I upgraded to winXP and the BSOD stopped for about a week, now I get them in XP also. Is there a way to test my ram modules in software that will reveal if they're corrupt or have gone bad? In the POST sequence in the motherboard the memory checks out but I'm not convinced that it's good. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

You could also use config.sys with a himem.sys /testmem. This has shown several problems for me.
The BIOS memtest basicallly writes one byte every 16K with 55h and verifies that it wrote. There may be a more robust check on your machine but this was the original test. Ed Fair

I use QuickTech Pro which has within it a good stress test for RAM. However, don't think there's a demo version available...
