RAID question

I have a brand new BCM RAID cage without a hard drive in it.
I plan to install it on a BCM 3.7. does it make any difference if the new hard drive is 80 Gigs and does the new drive get set to mnaster also?

Options is over my head. Basically, make sure DHCP is off on the BCM. When you configure IP tels, pick Partial DHCP and enter the BCMs IP at S1 entry. DHCP server should give the IP set an address and the IP set can find the BCM.

Dewey is experiencing dimensional shifting. Try reconfiguring your deflector array to emmit an inverse tachyon beam, that should fix the problem.

I would be remiss if I didn't at least TRY to help v2d at this point...

I assume the RAID cage has at least one drive in it, i.e. the one that it comes with? If so then there is no need to configure anything... just drop in your existing drive and let the mirrorring process happen. Consult the BCM installer documentation for details. The capacity of the hard drive doesn't matter, the RAID process will create paritions to match the source drive, so only 20 GB will get used.

Set your old drive as Master and the new drive as slave on the RAID using the cables, but set the junpers on the drives both as Master, the RAID takes care of the rest.
