RAID 5 Pagefile question for Win2K

We have Win2K Server running on a 3HDD RAID 5 array. There is one hot spare. I believe that it is best not to have the pagefile on a RAID array but we currently have no option. Would it be a good idea to add a HDD separately to the array and put the pagefile on that?

If it is a hardware RAID, leave it on the RAID. If it is software, put a separate disk on and use that.

Software RAID for your pagefile is a really slow way of doing things...
