Different speed. Can I use 2 drive thats 10k rpm and other 3 in 7200rpm?

Yes you can do this, though the 10K drives will run at 7200.

okay thanks, yep thats what I thought. I guess all RAID setup will take what ever is the lowest.

I doubt the 10krpm drives will actually rev down to 7200 rpm, but the controller will divide I/O equally among the drives meaning the 7200 drives will be expected to handle the same load as the 10krpm drives. Performance will not be optimal, but it will work.

Ok, Let me ask you know another question. Say if a ATA100 and ATA133. Which would the RAID will pick? Its gong ATA100?
