"Dynamic disk cannot contain partitions or logical drives, nor can it be accessed by MS-DOS or by any Windows operating systems other than Windows 2000."

If a PC running W2K server has a second identical HD added for mirroring, does the above statement mean that a client running W98 will not be able to map a drive to that server in order to execute a flat file DOS program that resides there?

No, over the network it doesn't matter what file system is used. The above statement just means for the server itself.
