Is it possible to download from a radio station into your computer, like you would in your tape recorder, if so how would one D/L from a radio station playing on the computer directly to the hard drive, I am using Roxio.
Thanks
Nick

You are probably in the wrong forum, unless this issue is directly related to Win98/95. I suspect this belongs in either PC Hardware - General or Hard Drive.

What you need is a way to capture streaming audio. The only way I can think of is roundabout - capture what you want using an audio tape from your receiver, then copy to CD or HDD - use the output jack on the receiver and the input on the sound card. I haven't done this, but when I was considering copying my vinyl albums to CD, that is the method I was given.

Well I took the audio output from an old record deck (through a pre-amp), and plugged it into the line input on the soundcard. Saved the audio as a WAV file. I can see no reason why you can't do this with a high impedance output from a tuner or receiver...

Thank you for your feedback, at the moment my computer is not hooked up to any external audio device, the audio downloads I am tryimg to capture is from a radio station on the internet.
Nick.
