Is there still a grace period from the time you order a new system (R9) to upgrade to R10 without the need for an upgrade license?

No. R10 uses PLDS License. You would need to migrate all of the ADI R9.1 or lower to PLDS. This costs $$$ unless you have IPOSS OR purchase a paid upgrade license. The "Grace period was eliminated somewhere in the later releases of 8.0.

R10 is a runtime licence not an upgrade licence, the system will not run properly in it's absence :-)

If this is a 'new' system, and no calls have been made on it, you can upgrade for free. It will lock to the version on the first call.

Thanks budbyrd (and amriddle01 an mkoker). I thought that was the case.
My question now is once i have the license key from our distributor ,how to i get the IP Office to recognize them? Essential License and SCN license says Obsolete.

That's the PLDS part. Since those are ADI they will be marked as obsolete.

Is there a way to turn them to PLDS or since they were ADI, we need to keep it at 9.1?

You'd either have to have IPOSS to pay no money. OR purchase the Paid R10 upgrade using OneSource for a quote. I'd stay at 9.1 unless you absolutely sold it based on R10.

ok, thanks for the help. 9.1 it is.
