Here I am again with another XP issue... Geez you would think I know nothing about computers..
One of the XP machines I take care of periodically says in the bottom right hand corner, "Your network connection has been disconnected".. I have changed network cabling, reseated the NIC, checked the connection in the wall, and the connection to the hub. Everything is fine..
Any ideas?? The user says that sometimes the message comes up and nothing happens, but sometimes she gets "booted" out of the programs she is working on. These programs vary.
The machine is a Dell. PIV 1.6Ghz, 128 MB RAM, running XP Pro.
Thanks for your help,
Leda

Is it while the person is connected becuse it might be that you need to go into the configure and set it becuse most browsers have it so were if you are idle for so long it will disconnect you and him/her has theres set way to low.But then again it could be that there isp is having problems.I have earthlink and to get there go to the sign on menu and click configure. It could also be that the browser that they are using is inconpatable with earthlink you had to down load the newest version becuse the one that is out will not work woth xp.I hope any of these ideas help you.

Hi there!
We are actually on a DSL line. Everytime this happens to her, I immediately go in to check her connection, and it shows as fine.. Sending and receiving with no problem..
