Hi,

I am having problem applying windows updates to my windows 2003 server. Although I am an administrator I get this message when trying to apply a hotfix and/or sp1:

You don not have permission to update Windows server 2003. Please contact your system administrator"

My user belongs to the group Administrators and there is another guy who set up the server in the beginning who (of course)is an administrator and he gets the same message! I have looked for security polices etc and haven't found anything.
Can it have something to do with Terminal Services running? Any help is appreciated!

There is no Enterprise administrator group. Is it supposed to be one?

How is your server setup is it running in workgroup?

Thank you Lars! One of that user right looks like it could be wrong. I will check that out.
