Hi,

I have an issue with all IP Phones installed on IP403 and VM Pro 3.1.

When you dial *17 (which is the default shortcode) of voice mail, you are supposed to hear "welcome to IP Office for help ..... ", but I'm getting "to record messages press 1 to receive messages press 2 ....." on some phones or " as you use IP Office your name will be included ....." on other phones. when i did change of one of the users password I was promted by "please enter a new password and #"

Can any body help to isolate this issue ?

Kind Regards,

it sounds like maybe your *17 short code may be wrong.

You have them set up as trusted locations therefore they are being placed directly into the mailbox without loggingg in.

It sounds like you have Embedded VM, NOT VMPRO, and like kflounders (is that Kyle Holladay's handle?)Said you have them set as "trusted". Under the user- go to the "source number" tab and remove the capital "V" followed by the extension number. Example: V1124 when the source number is not there, the voicemail system will know that the extension trying to log into voicemail is not "trusted", and then prompt you for the ext number and password. Also, check the voicemail tab, and tick, or untick the "voicemail help" box depending on whether or not you want that additional help while in voicemail. Good luck. J.R. Trevino

sounds like it's running in IP office mode. switch it to intuity mode, Kyle would be very upset if you left it running in IP office mode. :)

See what my brain does when it's not thinking about phones.

Could be IPO mode. Won't be embedded on a 403!!

If the above doesn't work, in VM Pro check your default collect short code.

For the "Welcome to IP Office...for help" thing that's because voicemail help is not ticked for those users, the reason you are getting the "As you use IP Office..." statement is because either there recorded name has been lost or the name has been changed for that user and so all they need to do is record their name as requested and that will stop happening. I imagine you are using a password that isn't allowed such as 1234 which is why it's asking for another :)
