"Unable to open file" error

I am using Brightstor 11 on a 2000 server machine. I have it set to back up the local drives as well as remote clients. When I check the logs I always get w3404 unable to open file. (file=c:\winnt\., ec=123

I have checked the permissions and all seems good with that.

either file is open locked or directory structer problem,
try running the system tools to check the drive.
