"this folder was moved or removed" 1

I have this message on all the folders on a Windows 2000 Professional computer:"[path of the folder] is not acessible. This folder was moved or removed"
I can click "OK" on the message and continue working, but there should be any reason and fix for this situation. I was not installing any software or hardware, I was browsing folders normally, then one of them began with the problem.
