I am using Access 2000. I am developing a switchboard. I go it developed once but then didn't like it so I redid it. After deleting the switchboard items table and the switchboard form I redid it, however every time I run it I get an error saying "There was an error reading the Switchboard Items table".

I redit it again, but it still doesn't work.. I had a backup file of my database and used it creating the switchboard in it. But I still get the same error.

What did I do to my Access or how do you solve this problem? I've restarted my computer but that didn't help..

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks,

lmarshall

This amy be a memory reference problem. Try importing all your objects except switchboard to a new database. Then import switchboard table and form from the backup

Best of Luck

Import all your tables, queries, forms, etc. to a new dbase and then re-create your switchboard instead of importing it from you back up. I've had similar problems in the past. The switchboard is very delicate when you delete or edit it in the code. Better yet, create a switchboard manually. I prefer doing that because it gives greater flexibility to do other things.
