We're running Exchange Enterprise 2003. I'm trying to set a user up to be able to send as her boss while he is out. I followed the instructions on this KB article:

And everything seems to work fine. However, the next day her permissions are removed and I have to re-add them again. I've confirmed that nobody else is removing these permissions manually, so something else is clearing them out. Anybody have any ideas?

FYI, her permissions remain under the "Mailbox Rights" section, but they are removed from the "Security" tab.

hehe, u never know if any user is in those protected groups. i see too many cases, normal users are not "normal".

This problem has nothing to do with group membership. It has to do with the contents of MsexchMasterAccountSID and MsexchSecurityDescriptor atrributes of a user opbect.

I checked the msexchmasteraccountsid article but there was no account listed that also had the "Associated external account" selected. How do I go about manually checking the MSExchMasterAccountSID?
