"Scoped" and "Unscoped"

That's the difference between a "Scoped" SLP DA and an "Unscoped" SLP DA... the configuration of a "Scoped" SLP DA seems to be more complicated... Under what circumstance should one use "Scoped" SLP DA? In a simple network with only one segment (no routing), is an "unscoped" SLP DA good enough?

unscoped was for netware 5

always use a scoped - it's not any more complex - to me really all it means is you are calling it something instead of leaving it as unscoped

you can even look at a tid - about changing from unscoped to scope - it's informative and you could use it if desired
